Clarissa is a Nationally Accredited Mediator and is available to act as a mediator to assist your family resolve the legal issues that arise after separation.
The mediation process enables parties to discuss all issues, no matter how big or small, to reach agreement on all matters. This should be compared to the Court process where often the smaller issues are overlooked. In our experience, most matters that are properly prepared and proceed to mediation settle without the need for couples to attend at Court. Mediation can therefore be a very speedy and cost effective method of reaching a settlement relating to the legal issues that arise after separation, whether financial or in relation to children. Mediation may also minimise the risk of conflict in the future. The process can save or re-establish important family and parenting relationships and may prevent the need for legal action.Clarissa also works in partnership with a qualified psychologist providing ‘Child Inclusive Mediation’ for parents who are seeking expert assistance in relation to the arrangements for their children. A Child Inclusive mediation process enables the views, wishes and needs of your children to be directly considered- your children do not come to the mediation process but they do meet with the child psychologist prior to the mediation. The psychologist will then also attend mediation to provide you and your spouse with feedback regarding your children’s needs and also to assist you both to reach an agreement.

Mediation for families is a primary way of reaching an agreement after separation on your legal issues. It is both a cost effective and time effective way of solving these difficult issues.
